The Conference in Acts
There are those who claim that the
Christians must keep the ordinances [feast days] of Moses.
What does the Word of God say?
Act 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea
taught the brethren [of the Gentiles], and said,
Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Act 15:2 When therefore Paul and
Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that
Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the
apostles and elders about this question.
Act 15:4 And when they were come to
Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and
they declared all things that God had done with them.
Act 15:5 But there rose up certain of
the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to
circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law
of Moses.
Act 15:6 And the apostles and elders
came together for to consider of this matter.
Act 15:12 Then all the multitude kept
silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and
wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
Act 15:13 And after they had held their
peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
Act 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God
at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
Act 15:15 And to this agree the wordsof the prophets;
as it is written,
Act 15:16 After this I will return, and
will build again the tabernacle of David [made
without men's hands], which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Act 15:17 That the residue of men might
seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Act 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is,
that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Act 15:20 But that we write unto them,
that they abstain from pollutions of idol, and from fornication, and from things strangled {
the lusts of this world, and from blood.
Act 15:22 Then pleased it the apostles
and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas,
chief men among the brethren:
Act 15:23 And they wrote letters by
them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto
the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
Act 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard,
that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting
your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep
the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Act 15:28 For it seemed good to the
Holy Ghost [Old
Testament Scriptures], and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meatsoffered to idols
{teachings} Mat 24-45 -
Jhn 6:55], and from blood, and from things strangled, and from
fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery,
Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly
comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
The Law did not come until Moses - yet, Abraham was called
Friend of God
- because he believed God.
Exd 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty,
but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

The New Testament is the New Covenant that He promised in the Old Testament:
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old.
Hbr 8:13

covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt;
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the
covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and
will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and everyman his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for

ye need not that any man teach you: but

Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit;
and they shall prophesy.

mightest war a good warfare.

Joe 3:4 Yea, and what have ye to do with Me, O
Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render Me a recompence? and if ye recompense Me, swiftly and speedily will I return your

Jer 16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD,

And here is Palestine - for ALL to see.

Joe 3:9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles;
Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up
Psa 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and
a two-edged sword in their hand;
Psa 149:9 To execute upon them the judgment
[already] written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Isa 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass,
and new things do I declare: before they spring
forth I tell you of them.
Psa 83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off
from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them
take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside
Me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside Me.
This is the work of the Temple of God and the foundation of it was laid by Christ.
Hbr 11:3 Through faith we understand that the
worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone,
a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones,
are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak
every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Because there is:
Ecc 3:5 - A time to cast
away stones, and a time to gather stones together.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Gal 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law,
but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus
Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works
of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Rom 3:27
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the
law of faith.
Jam 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jhn 7:38 He
that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall
flow rivers of living water.
Jhn 5:45 Do
not think that I [Jesus] will accuse you to the
Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

1Sa 2:8
He raiseth up
the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to
set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the
pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
Rev 21:7 He
that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son.
