Columbia, U.N Lock Horns Over Human Rights
JUAN PABLO TORO, Associated Press Writer March, 10, 2004
BOGOTA, Colombia - The United Nations issued a harsh assessment of Colombian President Alvaro Uribe's crackdown on leftist rebels Wednesday, even as the military announced it killed 20 insurgents in several clashes. The UN is defending those who kidnap, slaughter and produce drugs that poison the young. The annual report on Colombia by U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights charged the government with abuses, arbitrary roundups and anti-terror laws that give sweeping powers to the military. "The human rights situation remains critical," the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights said in its annual report on Colombia. Who has not said one word about this act:
A baby's head is cut in the name of Islam Nor does that self professing 'Rights' group address these: 009.029 Fight those who believe not in Allah 002.216 Fighting is prescribed for you 061.004 Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause
005.041 Jews,- men who will listen to any lie 002.191 And slay them wherever ye catch them
The government immediately rebuked the U.N. report for failing to take into account "the gravity of the threat" to the country posed by illegal armed groups. Colombia's civil war, now in its 40th year, pits two leftist rebel groups against right-wing paramilitary factions and government forces. An estimated 3,500 people are killed every year. In the most recent violence, the military said its troops clashed with leftist rebels and outlawed paramilitaries, killing 20 fighters and capturing 57 others. The fiercest fighting took place Tuesday near Zetaquira, 80 miles northeast of Bogota, in which nine members of the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, were killed, said the commander of the army's Fifth Division, Gen. Hernan Alonso Ortiz. But when the FARC kidnaps, murders, demands ransoms, and produces heroin, not a peep is heard of that group. [We are told, you will know what's in the heart by what rolls off the tongue] Three other rebels died in other fighting, while another 40 suspected rebels were rounded up, the army said. Soldiers also killed eight paramilitary fighters during clashes in a rural area near Ginebra, 170 miles southwest of Bogota, the army said. Seventeen suspected paramilitaries were also captured. At a news conference in Bogota, Michael Fruhling, the UNHCHR's top Colombia envoy, acknowledged that security had improved under Uribe's presidency, but said the number of atrocities being committed in the conflict remains "very high." He nevertheless praised the government for retaking vast swathes of territory from the rebels and restoring the rule of law there. And this is why, they at the UN, have given their unrighteous cry. Fruhling condemned Colombia's two leftist rebel groups and their outlawed right-wing paramilitary foes for "not respecting even in the most minimum way" international humanitarian laws. [of which the Koran violates more then anything else on earth, that the 2-faced bodies at the UN know, but protect] He said they continue to kill and kidnap innocent civilians, force families to flee their homes, recruit minors into their ranks and sow anti-personnel mines. However, Fruhling also denounced recent legislation drawn up by Uribe that allows the armed forces to arrest suspects, tap phones and search homes without a warrant, saying it violates international law. Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos blasted the U.N. findings: "Where is the objectivity, the balance and the need to put everything in context?" he asked. "What we have here is a democratic government ... faced with enormous threats by armed groups rolling in cash due to narco-trafficking who want to destroy democracy," he told RCN radio. "The United Nations does not understand that that requires work." You might ask--what does the FARC have to do with Islam? The FARC is made up of 2nd generation 'Arab' immigrants, who introduced their 'poppy' seeds to the fields of Columbia. Jer 10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. Rev 13:15 And he [the devil] had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. The self professing 'rights' groups never condemn the following commands of Islam's allah, who is breaking every law they say they stand for! Psa 10:15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. Out of the mouth of 'allah': 008.074 Those who believe, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith, in the cause of Allah as well as those who give (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) in very truth the Believers: for them is the forgiveness of sins and a provision most generous.004.094 O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" coveting the perishable goods of this life: Even thus were ye yourselves before, till Allah conferred on you His favours: Therefore carefully investigate.009.005 When the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war).008.067 It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter:002.216 Fighting is prescribed for you 002.191 And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. These are what that 'rights' group and many others like it, defend. A god that breaks the very laws that they themselves write. What day, and who will be the one, who will demand a public answer [before the eyes of the whole world] from the self-righteous 'rights' groups of this world? concerning the commands of the Koran? Oh happy day! when it comes. Eze 13:22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way.
